  • As program director, developed an accredited EMS education program graduating approximately ten EMTs, Paramedics, and Advanced-Practice Community Paramedics per year.
  • Interfaced with physicians and subject matter experts to develop a progressive online EMS protocol platform with active drug calculators and other tools used by over 200 emergency responders.
  • Created a Mobile Integrated Healthcare department that coordinated Advanced-Practice Community Paramedics with Hospital Population Health, Rural Health Clinics, and Local Public Health that is projected to meet the non-traditional healthcare needs of over 100 patients annually.
  • Developed a just culture system and oversaw a team of quality improvement staff who reviewed 100% of all documentation for EMS billing accuracy and critical events for clinical quality.
  • Designed and maintained a digital radio system for an entire healthcare system to connect emergency services across four counties with voice and data communications.
  • Coordinated six hospital departments with a total of $25M in annual billed services staying within 1% of the annual budget.
Emergency Planner Polk County Health Center October 2002 -
September 2011
  • Coordinated with the Centers for Disease Control, the Missouri Department of Health, and emergency management agencies to develop an online planning and education platform to support responding to public health emergencies throughout Southwest Missouri.
  • Provided training to first responders, the medical community, and the public across Missouri on topics ranging from disaster preparedness and family safety to general health department activities to responding to bioterrorism events.
  • Developed and maintained an online disease surveillance system that could determine community trends through statistics and mapping and support disease investigations.
