EMS Clinical Chief Citizens Memorial Hospital,

February 2020 - Present Administrator of all clinical activities of the EMS department. Serves as program director for paramedic, EMT, and all other education courses. Manages the quality improvement programs for the EMS department. Researches, develops, and implements EMS patient care protocols. Supervises a team of educators, field training officers, quality reviewers, and technology specialists. Coordinates with medical director, accreditation agencies and inspectors, hospital department heads, time-critical diagnosis teams and coordinators, and EMS operations managers. Currently project director for $2M Community Paramedic implementation program across multiple counties.

October 2011 - May 2017 Maintain progressive EMS protocols and ensure staff are trained to safely and efficiently carry out those protocols. Ensure protocol compliance through a comprehensive quality improvement program. Proposed, developed, and implemented a digital radio network for the entire hospital multi-county district (EMS, security, nursing, maintenance, disaster, etc.). Emergency Planner Polk County Health Center,

October 2002 - September 2011 Regional planner for six suburban/rural Southwest Missouri counties. Coordinated with the Centers for Disease Control and the Missouri Department of Health to plan for, prepare for, and respond to public health emergencies in Southwest Missouri. Created and maintained a current, comprehensive plan that integrated with existing county, state, and federal emergency operations plans. Provided training to first responders, the medical community, and the public on topics ranging from disaster preparedness and family safety to general health department activities to responding to bioterrorism events. Developed and maintained disease surveillance systems, determined community trends through statistics and mapping, and investigated causes of disease.

October 2000 - June 2002 Worked within a team of mechanical, electrical, and structural engineers and supervised designers to provide life safety, plumbing, and fire protection systems for existing and new buildings. Coordinated with the building architect and owner to customize these systems for their needs. Performed site visits and drew plans for these systems to be bid and installed. Reviewed and inspected installations and plans for compliance with codes and ordinances. Developed a team of fire protection engineers and electrical engineers to perform post-fire cause investigations for insurance companies.
